Power storage for LokPilot V4.0 & LokSound V4.0 family, 1F/2.7V. The new ESU PowerPack Mini can be connected to all fourth- and fifth-generation ESU decoders. It reliably supplies power to your locomotive when running on dirty track or on long pull-out ladders.
With its energy storage (1 Farad capacity), it supplies power to all light and engine functions as well as to the sound module. Depending on the energy consumption of your model, it can keep moving for up to three seconds. The PowerPack Mini contains an integral charging circuit controlled by the decoder.
This is why it can be connected even during programming. To avoid an ??excessive load on the booster when there are several models in the same booster sector, the charging current is limited. By means of a CV, the buffer time can be reduced. This can be useful to ensure the correct stop position before signals with the Stop aspect (red signal).
Although significantly smaller than its predecessor, the PowerPack Mini’s space requirements of approximately 15.7 mm x 9.7 mm x 13 mm must be considered when installing this device. A three-pole wiring harness connects the PowerPack Mini to the decoder. The wires are already soldered to the PowerPack Mini and must be soldered to the appropriate solder areas of the decoder.
Please note that the PowerPack cannot operate in analog mode for technical reasons: buffering is therefore not possible in analog mode.
